Operating Hours and Curfews

In Singapore, Changi Airport (WSSS) is 24 hours operational without operating curfews but experiences Arrival Peak hours between 0305 – 0400, 0805 – 1000, 1305 – 1500 UTC and Departure peak hours between 2205 – 0300, 1205 – 1400 UTC for schedule commercial traffic. Seletar  Airport (WSSL) is 24 hours operational with operating curfews: runway closures occur on the first Saturday of every month or second Saturday of every month if the first Saturday is public holiday between 0001 – 0700 Local Time and every Wednesday and Saturday between 0001 -0200 Local Time to all traffic except medevac and emergency flights.

Landing and Airport Slots

At WSSS, Slots are required. Please note airport slots will not be approved during peak hours at WSSS. Parking is granted for not more than 48 hours and is granted on a case by case basis and subject to availability. At WSSL, Slots are not required.

Landing permits are required for only Non Schedule Commercial operations for both airports. For Landing permits, submit the application online using an ATLAS account along with Air Operators Certificate, Air Operators Operations Specifications, Certificate of Airworthiness and Registration, Noise Certificate, Worldwide Insurance Certificate, recent maintenance release.  The lead time is 5 working days to get Non Schedule commercial  permit. Please note the landing permit is not required for tech stop or Crew change stop so long as no passengers board or disembark the aircraft in Singapore.

Crew Visas

For Private Operations, Crew visas are required.

For Non Schedule Commercial Operations, Crew can travel on General Declaration for 7 Days

Customs, Immigration, Quarantine

At WSSS, all passengers must clear customs at the CIP terminal or General Aviation Terminal  only. Crew can clear customs at GA terminal or main terminal where there is no charge. it will take only 10-20 minutes to clear the customs at CIP Terminal.

At WSSL, passengers and crew will clear customs at the main terminal only. It will take about 10 minutes to clear customs.

All passengers and crew must have valid passports with at least 6 months remaining validity and must be holding visas.

Ground Handling

The ground handler requires all the information such as aircraft call sign, schedule, crew and passengers information including gender, crew airline transport pilot license, passport nos and date of births.  Please check with your ground handler, in advance for availability of all the required ground equipment.

Business Aviation Operations to Shanghai

Operational Hours and Curfews

In Shanghai, both airports are open 24 hrs but with restrictions.  ZSSS is open for GA traffic from 0600LT to 2400LT. Foreign registered General Aviation aircraft are not allowed to operate to/from east north east direction to ZSSS.

Parking Slots

Airport slots are required for the both airports at Shanghai. One private jet is not allowed to occupy two or more slots during 0001 – 1400Z daily in both ZSPD and ZSSS.

Permits

For landing permits, lead time of 4 working days is required. Sponsor Letter with  flight schedule and complete crew and passenger details with full names, passport numbers, expiration dates, nationality and date of birth is required. Sponsor letter should be provided from a local business contact  along with the permit application. Sponsor letter needs to be in a specific format acceptable to CAAC and must be written in Chinese language along with the company seal of local business contact. Sponsor letters require full name and contact details of the sponsor, along with company name and job position from the person signing the letter. Please note the business contact must be located in the same city to which the aircraft is travelling.

Permit is valid for the given schedule only and a delay of only upto 2 hours is acceptable. If the delay is more than 2 hours permit number needs to be revised. Only two permit revisions are accepted by CAAC . One operation in and out China can only have 6 sectors. The crew must follow the route which is given in the landing permit.

Crew Visas

Crew requires visa for travelling to china and it must be a C – Type visa.

Customs, Immigration, Quarantine

At ZSSS,  CIQ must be cleared in GA terminal only. Generally it takes 10-15 minutes.

At ZSPD, as GA terminal is not available CIQ must be cleared in main terminal. Generally it takes 30 minutes.

Business Aviation Operations to Zurich

Operational Hours

Zurich Airport (LSZH) is operational for 24 hours. Please check with the local ground handler or your Trip Support Provider for any restrictions and curfew hours.

Permits and Slots

Slots are required for all operations and have a deviation of +30 minutes and -30 minutes. The flights will not be allowed to land or depart before or after the approved block times. Be aware of the risks associated with slot revisions, as a request for a slot time change close to the time of operation might not be possible and may cause delays.

Non scheduled commercial permit is required for non scheduled operations. Documents like C of A, Insurance Certificate, C of R, along with the application needs to be submitted to CAA Switzerland. The lead time is 3 working days.

Customs and Immigration

Passengers and crew will clear customs, immigration and quarantine at LSZH main terminal. The process might take 10-15 minutes. Please check with the customs prior to each trip regarding Switzerland Visas for crew and passengers because certain nationalities require visas. If visas are required, they should be a Schengen type visa and must be obtained prior to arrival in Switzerland.

Ground Handler

Please provide the aircraft documents, schedule, crew and passenger details to the ground handler, so that there will not be any unexpected delays during departure and arrivals.
