Operational Hours

In Bangkok, there are two International Airports:  Don Mueang International Airport (VTBD) and Suvarnabhumi  International Airport (VTBS). Both airports are operational for 24hrs but all private non revenue and non schedule operations must take place only in Don Mueang International Airport (VTBD).

Permits and Parking Slots

For all operations, a landing permit is required. The application must be submitted along with all the passenger and crew details. If flying domestic sectors inside Thailand, exact passenger details need to be provided for every sector. If there are any changes the permit can be revised within 24 hours.

Crew Visa

For crew, visa can be arranged on arrival.

Customs and Immigration

All initial arrivals and departures must use a Customs Airport. At Don Mueang International Airport, customs and immigration can be cleared in the main terminal.

Ground Handling

The ground handler requires all the information such as aircraft call sign, schedule, crew and passenger information including gender, crew airline transport pilot license, passport nos and date of births. So that the handler can pre-fill all the paper work required to clear customs and immigration to save time. Please check with your ground handler in advance for availability of all the required ground handling equipment.

Business Aviation Operations to Cairo

Operational Hours

Cairo International Airport (HECA) is operational for 24 hours.

Permits and Slots

All operations require prior approvals from CAA Egypt. The aircraft documents like  C of A, Insurance need to be submitted to CAA Egypt for landing permit. The lead time is 3 – 5 working days. If there are any changes in the passenger, crew details or schedule,  these changes need to be  notified to CAA Egypt and permits  have to be revised. Parking slots are required at HECA. This can be secured by the local ground handler or your  trip support provider.

Customs and Immigration

At Cairo International Airport, Customs and Immigration will be cleared through business aviation terminal located in Terminal 1, Hall A.

Ground Handler

Please provide aircraft documents, schedule, crew and passenger details to the ground handler in advance to avoid any delays on arrival.

Business Aviation Operations to Bhutan

Operating Hours and Curfews

Operational Hours at Paro International Airport are from Sunrise to Sunset.  Please contact ground handler before the flight for airport operational hours.

Please note Paro airport is Category C.  Day VFR operations are only allowed.

Permits and Parking Slots

Airport Slots are not required but you would need to contact the ground handler for parking availability. Tow bar should be present on board for towing.

Landing permit is required and lead time for landing permit is 10 working days. Along with the landing permit application, Crew License copies, Crew Medical Copies,  First and Last page of Log book, Aircraft Documents, Local Travel Agent details should be submitted to Local Handler for Landing Permit.

The Authorities advise that all arrivals should be done before 10AM local due to wind restrictions (Strong Anabatic Winds) especially from Feb to May.

Navigator

An approved Navigator is a must for all flights into Bhutan. The ground handler or your third party provider will arrange a Navigator.

Crew Visas

Crew can get Visa on Arrival.

At VQPR, customs and immigration is cleared through main terminal.
