Operational Hours

Soerkarno Hatta International Airport (WIII) and Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (WIHH) are two airports present in Jakarta. Both airports are 24 hours operational but with restrictions. Please check the notams for restrictions and curfew hours. Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (WIHH) is the closest airport to the city.

Parking Slots and Landing Permits

Parking slots are required at Soerkarno Hatta International Airport (WIII) but not at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (WIHH). Please note overnight parking is not available at WIII.

Landing permits are required for operating in Indonesia. The flight documents C of A, Cof R, Insurance copy and Flight details with schedule needs to be submitted to CAA Indonesia. The lead time to secure landing permit is 5 working days.

Crew Visa

Visa on arrival facility for crew is available at Indonesia. Crew must be holding valid passport and crew identity card.

Customs, Immigration and Quarantine

At Soerkarno Hatta International Airport (WIII) Special access for VIP arrival and departures is not available and customs Clearance needs to be completed at main Terminal.

Whereas at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport (WIHH) customs clearance is done at the FBO and has a lounge for the passengers.

Ground Handling

Please provide the aircraft documents, schedule, Crew and passenger details to the ground handler in advance. Passengers, Crew and baggage have to pass through security check twice before entering departure terminal and before boarding the aircraft. The FBO checks the Identity of person and Aircraft ownership documents depending on the situation.

Business Aviation Operations to United States of America

Permits required for entering U.S.A.

To enter U.S.A., TSA waiver is required  for non U.S. registered aircrafts if flying domestic sectors inside U.S.A. and APIS needs to be filled in advance.

The lead time to secure T.S.A. waiver is 5 working days. The documents required for T.S.A. waiver are Certificate of Airworthiness, Certificate of Registration, Insurance Certificate, Noise Certificate, Air Operator Certificate, Crew Medical Certificate, Crew Valid License, Crew Passport.

Aircraft should do the flights which are give in the approved waiver destinations.

The TSA waiver needs to be revised if there is any change in the schedule or Crew , adding passengers.

Generally for revisions the lead time is 3 working days.

Please note the aircraft registered in China(PRC), Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Sudan or Syria both TSA waiver and Federal Aviation Administration routing approval for every flight into and out of U.S. is required.  Lead time for FAA routing is 2 business days and it will be granted only after submission of TSA waiver approval.

Parking Slots

Parking slots can be secured easily by the local ground handler.

Please check the notams of the airport before departure.

Customs Immigration  Arrangements

We need to check with the local airport customs and immigration office before preparing schedule as the customs and immigration timings are different for different airports. Customs needs to be notified before arrival and departure.

Ground Handling

The local ground handler will only assist in arranging slots, payment of airport charges and basic  ground handling. Customs notification should be arranged using 3rd party services. Expect delays for arrivals and departures in U.S. as most of the airports are busy with local traffic.

Operational Hours

Colombo/Bandranaike  International Airport is operational for 24 Hours. Please check with the local handler or your trip support provider  for any restrictions or curfews.

Landing Permit and Slots

All Operations require prior approval. The lead time for landing permit is 3 working days and is valid for 48 hours. Domestic Sectors needs a special defense clearance to operate which needs 2 hours prior approval.

Make sure the parking slots are secured well in advance.

Customs and Immigration

Both passengers and crew will clear customs and immigration through main terminal. Expect delays while clearing customs and immigration.

Ground Handler

Complete passport details of the crew and passenger details needs to be provided to the ground handler well in advance. After departure General Declaration  should be provide to the ground handler as it is required for the crew to clear customs. Please check with ground handler if any special services are required before the flight.

Business Aviation Operations to Geneva

Operational Hours

Zurich Airport (LSZH) is operational for 24 hours. Please check with the local ground handler or your trip support provider for any restrictions and curfew hours.

Permits and Slots

Slots are required for all operations and have a deviation of +30 minutes and -30 minutes. The flights will not be allowed to land or depart before or after the approved block times. Be aware of the risks associated with slot revisions, as a request for a slot time change close to the time of operation might not be possible and may cause delays.

Non schedule commercial permit is required for non schedule operations. The documents like C of A, insurance certificate, C of R, along with the application needs to be submitted to CAA Switzerland. The lead time is 3 working days.

Customs and Immigration

Passengers and crew will clear customs, immigration and quarantine at LSZH main terminal. The process might take 10-15 minutes. Please check with the customs prior to each trip regarding Switzerland Visas for crew and passengers because Visas may be required  for certain nationalities. If visas are required, they should be a Schengen type visa and must be obtained prior to arrival in Switzerland.

Ground Handler

Please provide the aircraft documents, schedule, crew and passenger details to the ground handler, so that there will not be any unexpected delays during departure and arrivals.

Business Aviation Operations to Bangkok

Operational Hours

In Bangkok, there are two International Airports:  Don Mueang International Airport (VTBD) and Suvarnabhumi  International Airport (VTBS). Both airports are operational for 24hrs but all private non revenue and non schedule operations must take place only in Don Mueang International Airport (VTBD).

Permits and Parking Slots

For all operations, a landing permit is required. The application must be submitted along with all the passenger and crew details. If flying domestic sectors inside Thailand, exact passenger details need to be provided for every sector. If there are any changes the permit can be revised within 24 hours.

Crew Visa

For crew, visa can be arranged on arrival.

Customs and Immigration

All initial arrivals and departures must use a Customs Airport. At Don Mueang International Airport, customs and immigration can be cleared in the main terminal.

Ground Handling

The ground handler requires all the information such as aircraft call sign, schedule, crew and passenger information including gender, crew airline transport pilot license, passport nos and date of births. So that the handler can pre-fill all the paper work required to clear customs and immigration to save time. Please check with your ground handler in advance for availability of all the required ground handling equipment.

Operational Hours

Cairo International Airport (HECA) is operational for 24 hours.

Permits and Slots

All operations require prior approvals from CAA Egypt. The aircraft documents like  C of A, Insurance need to be submitted to CAA Egypt for landing permit. The lead time is 3 – 5 working days. If there are any changes in the passenger, crew details or schedule,  these changes need to be  notified to CAA Egypt and permits  have to be revised. Parking slots are required at HECA. This can be secured by the local ground handler or your  trip support provider.

Customs and Immigration

At Cairo International Airport, Customs and Immigration will be cleared through business aviation terminal located in Terminal 1, Hall A.

Ground Handler

Please provide aircraft documents, schedule, crew and passenger details to the ground handler in advance to avoid any delays on arrival.

Operating Hours and Curfews

Operational Hours at Paro International Airport are from Sunrise to Sunset.  Please contact ground handler before the flight for airport operational hours.

Please note Paro airport is Category C.  Day VFR operations are only allowed.

Permits and Parking Slots

Airport Slots are not required but you would need to contact the ground handler for parking availability. Tow bar should be present on board for towing.

Landing permit is required and lead time for landing permit is 10 working days. Along with the landing permit application, Crew License copies, Crew Medical Copies,  First and Last page of Log book, Aircraft Documents, Local Travel Agent details should be submitted to Local Handler for Landing Permit.

The Authorities advise that all arrivals should be done before 10AM local due to wind restrictions (Strong Anabatic Winds) especially from Feb to May.

Navigator

An approved Navigator is a must for all flights into Bhutan. The ground handler or your third party provider will arrange a Navigator.

Business Aviation Operations to Paris

Airports availability in Paris

There are three airports available for operations to Paris: Charles de Gaulle (LFPG), Orly(LFPO), Paris Le Bourget (LFPB).  Charles de Gaulle (LFPG) and Orly(LFPO) are dedicated to schedule commercial operations.

LFPG allows general aviation only for passengers with airline connectivity and parking is only available for a few hours. LFPO is reserved mostly for commercial operations with exemptions to diplomatic flight operations and parking of aircraft is only available for a few hours.

Non revenue and non schedule commercial operations occur in Paris Le Bourget Airport (LFPB) which is a user friendly airport with plenty of aircraft parking and full support services.

LFPB airport is open  24 hours for arrivals, but jet departures from apron are prohibited between 2215 and 0600 LT.

Airport Slots and Permits

PPRs or airport slots are not required for LFPB.

For non revenue  flight prior approvals are not required to operate into LFPB.

For charter or non schedule flights prior landing permit approval is required to enter and exit France for non EU registered aircrafts. The flight documents such as C of A, C of R, Insurance, AOP along with complete questionnaire must be submitted to CAA France. The lead time is 5 working days to secure the permit.

Crew Visa

Crew may require Schengen VISA, depending on Nationality.

Customs, Immigration and Quarantine

Passengers  can clear customs and immigration within the fixed based operator(FBO). Clearance will take 5 -10 mins.

Certain prohibited items cannot be offloaded from the aircraft while in France. Dogs and cats (except racing dogs) may be brought into France if they are at least three months old and fitted with permanent identification and have valid health/rabies certificates. Catering must be left onboard in Paris, and any refrigerated items may be stored at your FBO /ground handler.

Ground Handling

The non EU  registered aircraft must have all standard documentation like certificate of airworthiness, certificate of registration, insurance, noise certificate, copies of crew licenses and medicals, safety management system program, general declarations available on board as there will be frequent ramp checks occurring mostly on non schedule commercial charter operators mostly flying international sectors.

Operational Hours

Operational Hours of Baku is 24 Hours. Please check for any restrictions or curfew with your ground handler.

Permits and Parking Slots

Landing permit is required for both non schedule and private operations. The Certificate of Airworthiness and Insurance along with application needs to be submitted. Lead time is 3 working days, however the permit can be secured in less than 48hrs with a extra charge.

The Ground handler will arrange the parking slots.

Crew Visas

Crew can travel on Gen Dec for 72 Hours. Crew must carry company I.D. along with passport.

Customs, Immigration and Quarantine

Customs and Immigration is available for 24 hours and can be cleared through main terminal.

Ground Handler

The ground handler requires all the information such as aircraft call sign, schedule, crew and passengers information. The Gen Dec with company stamp needs to submitted to the handler for clearing customs and immigration.  Please check with your ground handler in advance for availability of all the required ground equipment.

Business Aviation Operations to Japan

Operating hours and curfews

In Japan, only four airports are open 24hrs, while rest have curfews. 24hrs airports include RJTT, RJGG, RJBB and RJFR. But keep in mind that RJFR does not offer 24hrs customs and immigration services

Permits and Parking Slots

Airports slots are required for all airports in Japan. GA slot times are rigidly monitored at RJTT, due to high volume of traffic. Also at RJTT, parking is limited to 10 continuous days.  If additional days are required, you may depart and return subject to availability of airport slots. Maximum parking at RJAA is 30 consecutive days, while there are no formal aircraft parking limitations at other airports in Japan.

Crew Visas

Crew does not require prior visa for travelling to Japan. All the crew members on general declaration can receive shore passes. The ground handler requires all the crew information in advance, to make the arrangements.

Customs, Immigration, Quarantine

You will clear CIQ within the main terminal, with some exceptions:

RJAA, Narita – Has a dedicated GA terminal with extra cost.

RJBE, Kobe – Has a FBO where passengers & crew can clear customs and immigration.

Generally CIQ clearance takes about 10 minutes, depending on the terminal. Arrival cards, also known as customs and immigration cards, must be presented for every international arrival. Your ground handlers will prepare these cards in advance, assuming you’ve provided all the necessary passport details.
